The church in Great Falls, MT was without a pastor when we arrived last August. I was able to get an interim pastor to assist and ill in through the end of January. After prayer and discussion with our pastor in Eureka, MT, a decision was made to appoint Pastor Oscar Sanchez to the church in Great Falls. Oscar had previously served as the youth pastor in Eureka. Pastor Oscar moved to great Falls on February 13 and his first Sunday was February 19. He has been doing phenomenally since he arrived. The fact that Pastor Oscar is fluent in both Spanish and English will greatly assist him in reaching the neighborhood around the church. The regional Church Planting and Revitalization team has devised a plan to help Pastor Oscar over the course of the next year. This work has been especially exciting to me because it was the theme of my doctoral project. I fully expect Sunnyside Church of God in Great Falls to be a strong and self-supporting congregation within the next 12 months!
